Rene Pirrotta
Rene completed her Bachelor of Applied Science in Psychology and Graduate Diploma of Psychology at Deakin University. She works with various psychological concerns in adults, including trauma, substance-related concerns, attachment, difficulties with emotional regulation and self-esteem. Rene has experience working with clients exploring their gender, sexuality, and neurodivergent identity.
Rene endeavours to provide her clients with a supportive, non-judgmental and affirming space. She places a large focus on establishing a strong therapeutic relationship, which she believes, in turn, allows clients to openly explore and confront their concerns. Rene approaches therapy in a collaborative manner, drawing upon a range of evidence-based treatment models, with a focus on Schema Therapy, EMDR and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). Rene is a AHPRA PsyBA board-approved supervisor and helps guide and support the clinical team at Q Psychology.
