Emily is a registered psychologist with a special interest in neurodiversity. She provides psychological assessments to children (aged 10+), adolescents, and adults, including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, cognitive, and academic assessments. Emily is dedicated to creating a supportive environment for clients to explore their neurotype, strengths, and what helps them thrive.
Emily’s assessment approach is warm, collaborative, and authentic. As a proud AuDHDer herself, Emily combines her knowledge of neurodiversity-affirming practice, curiosity, and sense of humour to develop an in-depth understanding of her clients’ life experiences. Emily works closely with clients to ensure their assessment experience is safe and accessible, and she is able to adapt her approach to welcome a wide range of communication styles and emotional regulation needs.
Emily is especially passionate about helping neurodivergent LGBTQIAP+ folk work towards self-acceptance and authenticity. She is skilled in assessing internalised and high-masking presentations of autism and ADHD, including those who tend to ‘fly under the radar’. Emily is also familiar with PDA (‘persistent drive for autonomy’), neurodivergent burnout, ‘school can’t’, and chronic illness (e.g., POTS, hEDs).
