Ms Rene Pirrotta (she/her)

BAppSc(Psych), GdipPsych

Senior Psychologist

Rene completed her Bachelor of Applied Science in Psychology and Graduate Diploma of Psychology at Deakin University. Rene has a background in delivering group and individual therapy in the forensic drug and alcohol space. She works with various psychological concerns in adolescents and adults, including substance-related issues, trauma, attachment, difficulties with emotional regulation, and self-esteem.

Rene’s clients can expect a supportive and non-judgmental space to feel heard. She places a large focus on establishing a strong therapeutic relationship, which she believes, in turn, allows clients to openly explore and confront their concerns. Rene approaches therapy in a collaborative manner and draws upon several evidence-based treatment models to tailor therapy to each individual, including Schema Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Rene is also a qualified EMDR therapist.

Rene is available at our St Kilda clinic.
