Clinical Psychologist

Edwina completed her Master of Clinical Psychology from Victoria University and has a keen interest and research background in improving the psychological well-being of individuals from diverse and minority backgrounds. This was translated in her work with rural populations, the disability sector, and research into both South Asian mental health and post-traumatic growth in Tamil refugees.

Edwina is kind, empathetic, and practices through an intersectional lens, as both a woman of colour and bisexual. She has experience working with individuals across the lifespan and from different backgrounds. She is trained in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Eye Movement De-Sensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR). Edwina has experience working with a number of psychological disorders including depression, anxiety, posttraumatic stress disorder, and borderline personality disorder and has a particular interest in South Asian mental health. Edwina has a Sri Lankan Tamil heritage and speaks limited to fluent Tamil.
